Mama & I made our 1st toy run of the season today.
Always a great feeling to see the children lining the
road waving. Being grandparents, mama always gets
all happy helping any kid. Guess it makes my old grumpy
*** feel good too. Don't tell anyone I'm really a softy.
Yes I did ours yesterday. Eastern PA Toys for Tots. Started at Access Harley went on a 30 Police escort and then to Applebees for food. There had to be 1500 bikes. It was a 300 miles round trip for us.
Got a big HOG toy run next Sunday. It's the ONLY group run I make anymore. Seems the "riders" get worse every year.****** Or, It could be my ridin' that's gettin' worse
The good folks at Abbate always put on a good time here on the East Coast! We know what you mean about that warm feeling you get. We have several disabled lil guys that line the road and get the biggest charge out of seeing a thousand or so bikes go by!

The ONLY group ride I will do. Wife and I also "adopt" Native American children thru local Methodist church each year for Christmas and splurge a little. For 23 years we have volunteered @ county soup kitchen for homeless on Thanksgiving morning, and delivered meals to the ones down on their luck that still had a roof over their heads. Puts things in perspective.
