Don't knock'em til you've tried'em.....
Since installing my apes... my hands, wrists, elbows, & shoulders no longer have the tingling / numb sensation after a couple hundred miles.
Think what you want about apes on a bike, let testimony speak for itself.
I had them on a bobber and believe me they were comfortable. I personally think it's a fad that will eventually fade away, much like the bobbed fenders of the 80's.
But.....to each his own. There is no right or wrong.
I think they look awesome, I'm just scared to do it. I swapped with my buddy who has 14 inch apes on his street glide. I think I could used to it, but it just felt too weird. Honestly, I didn't give it long enough to really assess them....I pulled over and we swapped back because I felt nervous and that isn't a good feeling riding someone else's bike. Riding on the road, they felt great....it was those slow maneuvers that I think felt so different.
