Compass install
Oh I know that sounds simple but it's just not same as all those old western movies. Sometimes when your out ride'in, You started out with the sun in the east. Now you cruzed through a few hills and the bluffs around alot of curves, Pulled in for lunch for an hour, Get back on the bike and head out, Now you look up and the sun is staright up, You come to an intersection, Do I turn left or right ? Well with the compass I check it out, I know I'm supposed to heading south so, Follow the compass. It just makes life alot easier. If I want to drive on familiar roads I might as well get in my car and drive to work.
In case you haven,t noticed those 3 lighted objects on the front of most bikes ,was first put on the bike to ride at NIGHT. About half of my riding is at night. A lot less cagers then and easier to see. So a compass would come in real handy at times. My 2 cents.
I had the HD compass installed two months ago. It has been working perfect and I have found it very helpful. I ride the backroads of North Florida and South Georgia and am the kinda guy who gets lost in his backyard so, for me, no regrets. Having said that, I will go the GPS route at some point.
