I have posted this link many times on here, and many have found it a good article about the '88's. The cam referred to in the article is the Andrew's 21. We used it for the same reason you wanted, low to midrange, and we absolutely love it. The bike pulls great well up into the rpm range, but the increase down low was amazing.
I bought the whole 21G cam kit from American Classis motors on ebay for $529.99, and had my favorite dealer tech install it. I also bought the Andrews adjustable pushrods, but my tech used the Harley ones instead, which came with new pushrod covers. The added benefit of going with the gear drives was that they elimated the cam chain tensioners, which was the weak point in the TC88 engine.

inverse121,sorry didnt mean to have caps on, but hey if ur not busy what the hell.lol i looked in my manual is it called something else in there... could probably do it myself but just trying to get it pinned down.
Andrews 21 grind for me (pulls like a mule!), re-used the pushrods and put on SE 95" cylinder kit while I had everything apart. VERY glad I did both, but the cams alone will get you grinning for sure.
Just do it! A real set of cams brings out the potential in these engines. The stock cams really neuter the bike. Freakin' EPA regs suck!
