Hi guys its been awhile since ive been on the forum but I figured this would be a good place to to get some answers
Ok so heres the problum I went for the last ride of the year and take my bike to storage If started up like usual and I let it warm up I get on to take off and when I turned the bars to the right it wouls stall out it would start back up no problum and it did this a few times I was finally able to get it out on the road and all was fine It did this again at a gas station then it was fine after that I'm thinking its in the wiring but I dont know where to look Has anyone ever had this happen to them and what was the fix?
The bike is a 2008 street glide with 20,000 miles with a fuel moto pc-v and jackpot slip ons
Sounds like you have a wiring problem. I would probably start at the kill switch wiring and go from there. Has to be something on the RS controls. Take it all apart and see. Start it up and twist those wires around some and see if it shuts off.
I also forgot to add that it also has a random high idle on start up hot or cold only happens once in a while but it annoying and wont go away until I ride it a bit then shut it off and restart

Thanks for the reply I figured it would be in the wiring somewhere
how hard is it to take the inner faring off and get to the wires
BTW how do you like the woods cams I had the w6h in my 88" evo and loved it
I just got off the phone with HD, they say it it is normal if you have the NASCAR edition. But seriously, start the bike up, turn the bars to the right and start wiggling wires until you find the right one.
I know this is bad but I can't help it. Only turn left and your issue is solved!
Check the wiring where they bend under the tank. Like said before start engine. Then hope you can make the problem show back up while turning the bars. Caterpillar has a good test for their engine harness. A 10 pound test at all connections. I know a Harley is not a diesel yet, just that test has helped me find alot of electrical problems before. Good luck.
