Question Where does it mount on an Ultra Classic?

I found the part here and here - where exactly does this thing go? I found a picture, but "I" can't really tell where and how it mounts? Anyone have any better pictures or some verbal visual clues they care to share?

Mine is not chrome but you can still see it. It bolts to the back of the lower fork bracket.

I just went through this ordeal. The only way to ride without hardly any wind in the face is to install the fork wind deflectors. I have the hard lowers and the wind bafffle between the forks, but still had wind in my face until I modified my fork deflectors to work with the hared lowers.

FIRST - put on the deflectors that go on the lower part of the fairing. You will be amazed at the difference. Then, if you still have too much wind (I doubt it) to next step of fork mounted deflectors . . . but first put on the fairing ones!

You don't have to get the louvered ones, but those are nice, too. Attached is a pic of the fairing air deflectors.

I have not seen these for our bikes - anyone have any recommendations, pictures, and places to purchase?

I just bought the chrome baffle that attaches to the forks tonight. I trust that it does good job with the amount of air rushing up through the front of the forks?

Default wind in face!!!

I have'08 ultra, if you go lower with windshield height your beard will be in your eyes and mouth I know , had to braid it, have 4" goat tee. Went with klock werks shield and fine now. Get on you tube, search klock werks, he'll tell you about it. I have all those other wind deflectors they are telling you about but still blew beard into eyes. The wind your getting it like a tornado effort but between your face and fairing. I had bee hit me on forehead once and it got caught in the tornado and kept spinning around in front of my face about a minute till finally got out! Watch the video on you tube about klock werks, he'll tell you about everything. Mark

Totally agree with Spurrs -- those batwing deflectors are awesome. Plus they are adjustable and make a huge difference in the airflow to and/or around the rider/passenger.

My first bagger didn't have these and I was always buffeted by the wind. With these on my new Ultra, it's a world of difference.
