Rush too loud
Hey guys got an issue here,I removed the cat off my 2-1 header on my 2010 FLHX and I already had a Rush 2.5 slipon on the exhaust.Now the exhaust is loud and I believe I might have lost some power.Called Rush and tried to see if they had a 2 inch baffle,and they said they had discontinued that baffle size due to heat discoloration of slipon installed on OEM headpipes.I repacked the baffle tight but still too loud.My question is how can I modify the baffle to improve backpressure to regain power and lessen the noise?
You can go down to a 2.25" baffle, this will definately help with the backpressure but will only quite it down a little bit. Any modifications to restrict the 2.50 baffle could also cause discoloring. Wish I could help more but as a manufacturer we do not support modifying epa approved systems. Hopefully some forum members can give you some feedback if the 2.25" baffle is not what you're looking for.

And...there you have it - direct from the experts. Take their advice & go w/the 2.25" baffle. Alot of owners are having similar issue(s) when removing CAT from header - need the backpressure.
