For those of you that have the Hogtunes amp is it a noticeable
improvement over stock power?I know it's not a lot more power,
but it is an increase.I have their speakers & they're great.Does
the amp clear things up at highway speeds?I just can't decide
how much more power I need.Especially with mama saying we
don't need more.
The amp does help. My girlfriend could always hear the tunes just fine even when the King tour pak w/speakers isn't on. Either I'm much harder of hearing than her or I get much more wind noise being upfront!

I added the speakers first, then the amp, and finally the Tweeter Pods. Each incremental change made about the same increase in sound quality, IMO. The amp adds presence, bass, and loudness--but still won't make the system sound like your home-theater, although my hearing isn't good and I probably shouldn't be making any claims of sound quality one way or the other. The Pods put the high-end and midrange frequencies up at a higher point of origin and closer to your ears, and they were also an improvement. I like where the system stands now and likely won't be changing. I also think that making a big improvement over this will entail more expenditures than I'm willing to make.
I have an extra set of Hogtunes speakers I'll sell for $75+shipping if anyone's interested, and I considered putting those in my lowers but decided against it. I feel that with the speakers down that low the sound improvement won't be worth the cost for the install kit or the time involved.

Added the Hog Tunes kit to my lowers & while they add some "fullness" to the sound while in the driveway or garage cleaning the bike, once going down the road I can't even tell they are there. I don't reccomend them to anyone.
