Who pockets the cash ? Way back when someone started this site so people had a place to ( read between the ride ). Won't somebody just start a new site ? I think current members should be grandfathered in. If they're going to charge, charge new members. We all have to fork out cash on our rides and now we might have to pay extra to talk about them. Doesn't seem right. There are a lot of good people on this site, why not have a donation area. when you donate it's posted in that area. No extra perks, just a donation to help out. I wonder how many people recieved much needed info from this site that just plain wouldn't have the cash to pay for the info. Isn't that what this forums is all about ?
Membership fees and low traffic is why I quit visiting V-twin forum. Oh, and the mods have nothing better to do than edit the crap out of the posts, and where they're posted. I sure as hell hope this forum doesn't go the way of that place. What a loss, if it does.
This place has some great sponsors, and they should keep it up and running. I've done my part to support them. Keep it free, I say!
The main reason I come here as opposed to V-Twin Forum, is because they don't charge anything.
V-Twin Forum charges to be able to post and view pics.
if that happens here... I'l do the same thing I did at V-Twin Forums... I'll find a new forum to visit.
and HD Forums will also be sending me this email every month:
"Hello, Deuce Bigelow!
We've noticed that you've not been active on our site for quite some time now, and we'd like to invite you back to visit V-Twin Forum : Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Forums and see what's new."
there's a reason I haven't visited for quite some time!

+1 Am happy with it the way it is. Has become a predictable and welcome break and have received tremendous help from members whom I have personally thanked both by post and PM. We're grown-ups here, and we don't need cute little patches and icons and other junk. JMHO. Fred
