Default Sea Foam?

Up until just recently, I have never heard of the stuff but now it seems like everyone is talking about it and recommending it. I briefly visited their website and I'm guessing it's their "Motor Treatment" everyone is talking about? I have never been sold on fuel additives and since my bike is only a year old with a steady diet of Shell premium I doubt there's very much gunk in it and I do ride it during winter (weather permitting) so I never felt the need for fuel stabilizer. Will my bike benefit from Sea Foam and how does it compare to STA-BIL?

Works well if you get some stale or bad fuel too
Works great in mowers, generators etc when siting for awhile. I like it

I always use STA-BIL, figured they are both pretty much the same type of product. I will subscribe and watch to see what I can learn.

Did my 25 k service at a year and half they found lots of gunk in tank filter so you'd be suprised how much build up you get. I use seafoaf, never tried stabil. Naptha and pale oil are the active ingredient in Seafoam, it does work at cleaning out the system. I also spray it in the throttle body direct with the motor running it cleans out the carbon in the heads and combustion chamber. I posted the procedure here somewhere.

Sta bil could be good too just dont remember ever using it, I use Seafoam in the fuel tank of every gas powered motor I own.

I would never use it or anything as en engine treatment, as long as you change oil regularly you should have no build up in the engine, the HD filters are some of the best engine oil filters out there for any gas powered motor, very effective at ermoving particulate.

Good product - run it in my bike, mowers, blower, etc. as a fuel additive. Always on sale so it's not spendy at all & keeps the motors running smooth. Use StaBil in cycle tank for winter storage - I feel it's added security that fuel won't go stale...never tried in motor, but might when bike gets a few more miles.

Seafoam is design for boat where you mix the oila nd gas which creates a oily carbon build up. Good stuff for a boat. I use it regularly in my bass boat. Seafoam knocks the carbon loose with a ton of blue smoke. Not for use in a effecient 4 stroke motor. IMO could knock carbon off piston / head and into ring landings. Lucus make a nice product that is not as aggressive and EFI safe

Use it in everything....mower, edger, four wheelers (V2s), and boats. I ride my bikes all year, so haven't really seen the need in them.

Isn't is wonderful we pay through the nose for fuel that's impregnated with alcohol that causes all these "engine problems" and have to secure yet another product to protect ourselves from "bad unstable" fuel.
Seems like we are getting the stick dirty on BOTH ends thrust into our faces and pocket books.
We never had these problems until our nanny watch overs (government slicks) found ways to increase their re-election funds by taking money from big oil and now corn farmers.
I remember good Hi Octane fuel that really produced few problems and gave good performance in engines of all sort. It's all gone now so thanks government slicks for making our lives less livable.
Bastardized alcohol diluted fuel has ruined several of my engines with no recourse to the offending perpetrators.

Let me put it this way...
I put two cans of seafoam in six gallons of gas and ran it thru an outboard that had been sitting since 1987. After changing the water pump impeller and filling it up with gas we took it to the lake and it ran like it was brand new and everybody knows what a PITA boat motors are!

They remove all the "enes" in the refining process just to sell them to you as fuel additives and FI cleaner. I've never used it in the Road King but I throw it in the truck and generator. Works good but its very aggressive.
