Bad Gas
I got bad gas a about 4 years ago, riding in the mtns of VA. I bought 93 octane at a country station where (in afterthoughts) the sell very little high-test gasoline. By the time I got up to I81, she started to cough and spit. It was a carburated 1998 model. I could get up to speed, then without notice it would shut off. I would get to the shoulder and she would fire up again. It took about 50 miles to clear it out. I would have been better off buying a gallon or so of regular gas, enough to make it to the good stuff. The moral of the story: don't buy premium gas from little country stations.
