the $64k question "And since the 120 is a race motor, how well will that hold up for a touring motor, riding long distances…"

both 107's that I have/had were well over 4k when completed---both over 120tq not one crank issue---if i were to do it again/or if the something goes south at the minimun I would get timken and welded.

I also had a 07 SG with a 103 115tq 105hp -- wore out 5 rear tires in a year doing hole shots and rolling burnouts -- not one issue with the motor

All three motors are/were complete HQs kits -- my current bike 09 RG with HQs 107 122tq 109hp with stock header will flat out haul azz---I have 16k miles on at this time. I routinely beat my former club brothers -- both have 110's

continue doing your research get what YOU are comfortable with

lkr0 ,

So with all the 107's you've had with no problems, were the cranks ever welded or balanced?

no crank work on any of 107 bikes -i do have a 06 SG w/131 trued/welded/timkin crank- the crank issue arose in 06 some of the first bikes of the 07 model years may have had crank issues on STOCK motors -- I have not personally heard of that many crank issues -- I ride on the aggressive side -- most of my riding crew and former club members (Rare Breed MC) have built motors -- some engage in controlled street racing (for $$) along with wheelies, rolling burnouts, getting the bike sideways--some of which I participate in (QUOTE=springer 03;7636608]lkr0 ,

The fuel Moto kit is a complete kit. You'll need a inner cam bearing puller and installer. Best place to get one is Gary Beatty. Inexpensive and an outstanding tool.
