It's the internet and if you let negitive comments bother you, then you might as well stay off of it. Because no matter where you go there will always be ******** just like in real life.
I've found that the internet's such a gigantic place that it's simply a waste of time to click on threads that annoy or don't interest me but I will occasionally do so just to question my own beliefs.I do the same thing in real life also, can't learn anything new being surrounded by people who agree with everything you believe.
Back to the original post, I agree it seems like some posts lately are asked in a very derogative way. “Why would anybody do this or that”.
Trust me I’m no English major, hell English is my second language and I only speak one, but these are like the same friends I have who run me down because I ride a motorcycle. They don’t look at it that I enjoy riding. They look at it as, you must be a dumbass because I would never do that. That gets old pretty quick.
I have no problem with people asking "I'm thinking of installing the new Wizbang Gizmo on my bike, anyone got any experience with it yet?" It helps me to read about new products and decide if I might want to do that mod in the future.
But I always wonder why people have to be critical of other people's mods. My bike is built for comfort. Others my think the Russell seat is ugly. Frankly, I don't give a damn. My butt is happy. If the next guy wants to build his bike for show and has every bit of chrome available on it with a seat that looks great but wouldn't last 50 miles before it tore your *** up, it's his choice. I don't have to ride it, hell I don't even have to look at it.
I make it a point never to criticize anyone's bike, or their old lady in public. But I might quietly say to myself "no way in hell would I ever ride that!"

exactly! well put! doing that would be disrespectful. that is all i am getting at. respect. if it doesn't suit you, fine. doesn't mean you have to bad mouth him.
Trash talk, dissing, talking smack are contributions to our society and culture from the genre of gangsta rap. They seem to have replaced the now outdated attributes of respect and courtesy.

What about that new Wizbang Gizmo, HD is sucking me in? I know those will fit on the '09's and later, but can I force fit it on a '07 road king. Will I have to retune and what will others on the forum think?
