I'd say go ahead and do it. It will make your bike fly higher and jump faster.

Some guy in Florida makes an adapter so it will work on older bikes. Have you tried the search function?

You shouldn't have to retune as long as you don't use dyno, and run it with apes.

If you're worried about what others might think, just do a poll first.

Words of Wisdom: You know what they say about opinions, Opinions are like buttholes, every one has one but no one wants yours. and as my father used to say Wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which one fills up first.

I'm all about asking a question for an opinion on how something works, and I think people on this forum are vastly helpful in giving tips and information. I just don't bash others for what they've done to their bike or call them out for doing something.

I'm pretty sure I see a lot of positive comments most of the time. For me, I don't really care what anyone does to their bike as long as it doesn't hurt me. I do like to see what other people are doing to their bikes. Some times it's not my taste, but it gives me and idea, or it just looks cool. Anyway, keep posting pictures of your mods.

Take your toys and get out of my sand box! Mama told me that if I don't have anything nice to say,......... If I wanted to **** somebody off, I'd simply say "conventional is better than synthetic," or "the SE compensator is trash and a waste of money!" Come on boys, play nicely.

Why do you want apehangers, or a stereo, or extended saddlebags, or a slammed bike, or a 200 HP bike (not to call anyone out in particular, but these are just some of the topics I've seen lately)? Is it just me or are a lot of these questions posed in a deragotory nature, like WTF were you thinking when you did this mod? Is there not a more politically correct way to ask, or do you think most of these people asking get a rise in seeing the argumentative responses that ensue? Do you really want to know...or do you really feel like saying "hey dumba$$, why the f**k would you do that to your bike?"
Are you sure you're not new to the internet, forums in particular?

I say to each their own and I like reading about the different ideas out there especially in the DIY threads.

I just wish more people would start threads about which oil is best for their bike, because I especially like hearing the thoughtful comments of all those well-wishers out there.

Some people's lives are so pathetic that the only way they can feel good about themselves is to try and belittle someone else. Try to show them some patience and pity, because they probably don't get much of either from anyone else.
