How did they sound different? Was one louder or deeper than the other? Also how do the knockoffs compare to your Rineharts?
I am Blueshearts buddy with the REAL CFRs the knockoffs sound good ,not better then CFRs .After hearing his I went home listened to my CFRs I can't tell the difference.I recorded both on my Iphone as soon as I can figure how to post them here I wil.
You asked how they compare to Rineharts it's night and day the CFRs and the knockoffs have adeep throaty rumble that I haven't heard anywhere else.
So overall the knockoffs sound and look good and at 1/3 the price of the CFRs they look to be a good deal.
The true test will be time will the knockoffs rust out early or welds break .

The Rineharts have a completely mellow sound which i was ok with but when i would ride with my buddy who has CFRs i love the sound of those pipes. I Love the low end rumble and when you want to really be heard and not have some one come over in your lane .... I have heard him roll his throttle and scare the S#*t out of folks not paying attention Now the CFR knock-offs are sofa-king
Unbelievable for the price . You really cant tell the difference between the Cfrs and knockoffs (I like the knock offs better but my buddy would never concede ) I scored .

Hey Bill,
We met once last year at the Buzz Inn in Monroe. Along with Davessworks. The three of us rode down to Sound HD after breakfast.
I'd love to meet up with you and your buddy Blueshart to see and hear these pipes side by side. I'm iced in up in Granite for now but that should clear up in the next day or so..
How about a meet sometime down at Sound? I'll buy the coffee.
It is really cool that Cary is working with you to get you a set of CFR that you can tune. I think the honorable thing to do when you are given the deep discount would be to crush the knock offs. By selling them, you only perpetuate what his attorneys seem to be trying to stop.... the sale of knock off CFR.

Just my two cents, not a flame or an insult.
It's all good. I discussed it with Cary and he was cool with it and understood. Besides, the money I got from the sale is going to him anyway.
those are impressive numbers on your dyno run. Do you expect to improve on those with the new CFRs?
I'm not sure...it would be an added bonus, but it won't matter. As long as I have rideability, I'll be fine...even if the numbers drop a bit. They were 115/121 with the CFR prior, but with a dip & stutter.
