I have them on my 2010 Ultra Classic with the cat and they are definately not to loud. I have read where if you remove the cat it's like a different set of slipons. I like the way they look and I think they do sound pretty good. They have got a little louder and deeper after several thousand miles.

I'm trying to decide on the 3.5" or 4" slip on's with the cat like your running to go on a new 2011 limited. I going to trade my 2006 cvo with the Rinehart td's in on it & would like to come as close to the way it sounds ,( I have always liked the sound of that set up ), but want to leave the cat on for the time being. I know with the cat in the head pipe it's going to be quieter than the true duals.
Anybody have idea which of the two, 3.5" or 4", would be louder???
Mine are just about right. I have had several sets of pipes on my Ultra but the 4" are it for me. Plenty of bark when really on it but otherwise a nice sound all around.
Anybody running the new Rinehart 4" mufflres? How is the sound, too loud, quiet, jus right? Thanks.
Ive had both the 3.5 and 4" on my 09; no cat. The 4" are considerably deeper but may be a little less loud, definately less noise fatigue after a 600 mile day in the saddle, they don't have the sharp edged crackle to them that the 3.5" rhineys have. They are plenty loud for me, I love them.
I have the 4" slip ons and can hear the guy with the 3.5s over mine when he's behind me so there you have it. It is supposed to be louder without the cat. It is louder than the stock exhaust for sure and considerably deeper than the 3.5s.

I think your saying the 3.5" are louder than the 4",but are you running the stock header with the cat?
The 4 inch are a deep rumble compared to the crackling of the 3.5, i really like mine alot. I have them on a 07 with true duals and a stage 1/ power commander and all my friends that currently run the 3.5 like the 4 inch sound better. jd
