I have a pigtail on my Road Glide that my dealer installs on all of their new bikes. Was wondering if I should leave it plugged in all the time/all Winter, or just periodically, to top off the charge? Thanks in advance.
Leaving it on all winter doesn't make sense. You'll just end up frying the tender. Just take out the battery and leave it in a closet where it stays warm. There is absolutely no point in leaving it on a tender all winter if you don't plan on riding the bike.
Leave it plugged in. A true tender will only charge when needed. If you have security on the bike it can drain a battery slightly over time. A tender will maximize the battery life no matter what season.

Lol, no.
Tenders are smart charges and a fully charged battery lasts longer than a warm drained battery.
