And all this time I thought that galvanic, or "dissimilar metal" corrosion was an interaction between the crap OEM brake dust and the naked aluminum wheels.
Learn something new every day, I reckon.
Ambient salt. Wax wheels weekly. Got it.

Re-schedule or trailer it. It's not worth taking the chance you will miss some of the salt and then you will regret it every time you see the damage.

There really ought to be warning signs out about that ambient salt.....That could end up killing someone with high blood pressure. If only there was ambient bacon......

I cringe every time I see a bike out when the roads are full of salt. If you've ever seen a bike that has pitted chrome from road salt, you wouldn't be considering riding in it.

Guess which part is the first to get it ..... wheels.

I'm just curious how y'all get around in the wintertime....Horseback? Seriously, I must be the most mechanically hateful man on Earth, I carelessly drive my truck and ride my bikes all winter long. When it warms up enough and I have time, I wash the crud off. In nearly 30 years of riding and driving around here, I've never had any vehicle rust out from under me.

If you ride it you might as well dip it in a vat of battery acid. Make it an enclosed trailer

HUGE advice on that. Got to be enclosed. I bought and picked up a bike in late January maybe 4 years ago. Got an enclosed U-Haul. By the time I went from the seller's house to mine the trailer was a new color.....salt white
