I have the lockable on my '07, & so does a friend on his '08. We never lock 'em, so when he's not lookin' I lock his........he returns the favor.

I had the lockable one on my SG and went with the smooth button instead on my '10 EG. I like the smooth button better. Like mentioned, no fumbling for keys. With the lockable one I had to take my gloves off to get to the little push button, not so with the smooth one.

The lockable can be a PITA. Plain push button seams to work very well.

I've had the lockable push-button type for 2-3 years and have had no problems except for some cosmetic wear on the lock mechanism exterior. I've never used the locking feature and don't know when I would need to, so if I had to do it again I would get the cheaper and blingier non-lockable type.
