I had a Harley push button release for my gas door years ago was junk. Do they make a better one now, and if you had it to do over would you buy it again ?
Thanks Jonnierock
I've had mine for a couple of years and it still works fine. I keep squirting it with wd-40 that might account for it lasting....?
i have the harley chrome smooth pushbutton gas cap lid, and i'm really pleased with it. it sure beats trying to remember which pocket the key and fob are in. it's really convenient.
I like the PB better for sanitary reasons, no more taking off the gloves and touching that germ laden gas pump hande. The PB does rattle at times though...
I've had the plain Push Button version on mine for over 3 years now. No problems or rattles since install.
I put it on because once I forgot my key when I went on a little ride around town. Needed gas and guess what....
I used a paper clip to get into the original lock in a few seconds.
Shows what good the lock does!
NEVER looked back.
Besides if someone is gonna be desperate enough to waste their time just stealing gas when the could take the whole bike - I'll buy their gas!
