Extended the Rev Limit on my 06 RKC and I will side with the rest of the guys. As for longevitiy, who knows. I am sure if you pound it every time you get on it it will not last. As for me I have ran it up only a few times in the 2 months with it, but knowing it is there, if I want to let the ponies run, is a good feeling.
I dont know how much it helps with a stock cam hp and tq will only fall off after 5000 mine is set @ 6500 with my race tuner and I never hit it I alwayse shift around 6000 @ the most with my cam my tuner set it @6500 before that it was @6200 and I had to try to limit it out but I dont think it will hurt your motor unless you spend a lot of time turning those rpm's.
I have read about raising the rpm to 6,200. My bike is 5,500 stock. Running the power commander and would like some advice....
No need for the rev extended with stock 88, if you go to a big bore and cam then its good to have. I have it and with my build I have yet to have the need to run it up to 6200. Hell i'm running over a 100mph before banging 5th gear and well below the stock rev limit.
As for the Accelerator Pump Utility, well all I can say is its a waste. Get a good tune with the PCIII is all you need, you can add all the fule you need using the PC. My .02 for what its worth
