This is not the first I have heard of this. Contact dyno jet and see what they say. I know I would not complain to the moco or they will probably void your warranty for using the pc5
Dyno Jet was contacted and they have no idea, also .. can the MOCO void my warranty on a part THEY installed ?
You may have dammaged your ECM by hoooking up the PCIII
I did not install the PCIII or the PCV, the MOCO did. I have been told the ECM may have been damaged due to the pin sets matching up but "meaning" different things.
Did you change to slip-ons or did you just upgrade the air cleaner? If you just upgraded the air cleaner, it would seem to me that you could simply remove the power commander and ride it to see if there is an issue. .
Went by the dealership with all these suggestions, all will be checked and an appointment has been made with a Dyno. The installed MAP will be tuned and verified, then miles attempted again by the dealer. Appreciate everyones help.
I can guarantee the moco did not install your dyno jet tuner. Your dealer is not the same as the motor company and mother Harley would never condone adding something other then thier own tuner. YOur dealer can screw all different kind of ways if they want to but it all depends on the relationship you have with them.
How many more of these cases are lurking ? 2 in the last 2 days and when the season opens up again most likely more? How come now? Just because people started putting things on them now? PRETTY SCARY !! I guess keep it stock as much as possible and then it will be OK? I will try to do that?
Ok, here is where the confusion starts - What was on the bike when you bought it? Was it stock and then you added the Reinharts and the air cleaner OR did the bike already have the Reinharts on it and you added just the air cleaner? The reason I am asking this is, if it already had the TD pipes on it then maybe it was already tuned and the PC is just overkill.
im no mechanic by any means, but my dad had a problem close to this and in pure luck realized it was the ignition. it was just a loose connection and if hit a bump or sometimes even turning would kill all power! i have heard of other people having this same problem but most of the bikes were older(dads 2003)not as new as 2010! but you never know
