I recently traded in my 2008 HD Road King Classic for a 2010 Street Glide. At the time of trade in, I asked if my Arlen Ness Big Sucker Air Cleaner and my Power Commander 3 could be instaleld prior to me taking delivery. Answer was yes.
I swear there are employees in some dealerships that if you asked them if these helicopter blades will fit on my bike, the answer would be, "Oh sure, yes, of course!"
Really sorry to hear about your dilemma cause that sucks especially with a new ride.
I've learned the hard way to research each and every nut and bolt myself before I trust, "Oh sure, yes, of course!" from a dealership.
Tell your dealer to refund your $ and buy the correct one from F/M with the appropriate download for your bike and watch and see how much of an improvment you'll have.
I suspect you'll be real happy.
YOU asked the dealer to install the PC and the Ness air cleaner. The dealer did as you asked. I am very, very surprised that the dealer hung this on a brand new bike. Was the PCIII remapped with the proper map for your new bike and hardware and ECM configuration by the dealer? I doubt it. You referenced a Ness air cleaner and a PCIII. If that's all you had on the bike, then you didn't need the PC at all. Then you said you had "no slipons" just "rinehart true duels". So you put the Rinehart header on your new motorcycle with the stock slip-ons? Or did you do this or did the dealer do it at the same time he installed the air cleaner and the PCIII?? Or did you add Rinehart slipons on the end of the new Rinehart header pipes yourself? We need to get your hardware terminology straight here so we can understand exactly what you have on the bike before we can give you any kind of meaningful help.
Why not ride the bike stock for a few thousand miles, prove that its a solid bike, then play around with fuel management? I believe you are flirting with an ultimate issue with the HD corporate warranty dept . If you continue to have issues with this bike because of the addition of this PC3, header, air cleaner, and now the PCV, and the dealer continues to consult with HD on why this bike wont run consistently, sooner or later it will be discovered that you have all this aftermarket stuff on the new bike and guess what....the dealer is going to be told by HD corporate that your bike will not be supported under warranty. Think I'm crazy? Maybe, but read the threads on this kind of stuff and you will see for yourself.
Anyway, my first inclination was that the boys in your harley shop failed to unplug the stock O2 sensors, plus did not upload to the PC3 an appropriate map for the new bike. That was probably the beginning and major cause of your problems. And of course it's always possible that the pins in the plugs between the PC and the ECM may not be making good contact. That's why you should do this kind of simple stuff yourself and not depend on anyone else.
I agree that you should give Jamie at Fuel Moto a call and run your issues by him. He will be able to help you...and he may be one of the few guys that can at this point. Opinions from everyone else, including me, are speculative unless we know all the straight details.

I was like you and now I am thinking of more FUNCTION Add ons , like front and rear lowering - Oil Cooler - Slip-ons - windshield bags , etc. Try all that first before you start doing cams and breaking the Engine case open? But Good Luck in trying to make your Tourer into a 9 second 1/4 miler ??

The dealer states the issue is with the bike and a Power Commander, therefore they (the dealer) sees no issues. How can I have the only 2010 Street Glide with this issue
Unplug the Power Commander and ride without it for a while. See for yourself if the issue is in the bike or not. That is the next step, and the only next step.
I did not install the PCIII or the PCV, the MOCO did. I have been told the ECM may have been damaged due to the pin sets matching up but "meaning" different things.
