that's why i'm no longer using the pcv, but went to the sepst, basically a newer version of the sert. it's sold by harley so it's actually made for our bikes. the pcv, pretty generic in comparison. remove your pcv and have a bike that won't frustrate you would be good advice i'd think.
The correct pcv HAD TO BE USED. Call Jamie at FuelMoto.net ~ I have had a PCV (the correct one on my 10 for 27k) NO Issues. The PC V made for the nine will not work ~ the 10 has a different computer ~ and UNLPLUG the o2 sensors...
This sucks, Call the sponsor of this page Jamie at FUELMOTO, tell him what you have and he'll probably send you a map to fix it.
Why would he? If i'm not mistaken FuelMoto is in business to make money. They offer GREAT customer support from what I hear. but the OP didn't purchase his PCV from them. I know Jamie supplies MAPS to his customers, but if I was him I wouldn't get in the middle of this one unless they guy wants to purchase a MAP or another PCV from him. It's just business. I wouldn't fix someone elses problem for free, would you?

I don't know some times the little things you do for free get you more business then the things you sell.
Right know I am on the fence about waiting for the Power vision to come out or getting a TTS mastertune. Why those, because both Jamie and Steve Cole provide a lot of free tech help via the various sites.

Giving advice on the forum is one thing. One of the benefits of buying a PCV from Fuel Moto is the warranty and support they give you. If they gave away support from the people that didn't buy from them, they probably wouldn't have anytime left for their actual customers. I wonder how many PM's, E-mails and phone calls they get from people wanting something for nothing? Anyways, i'm not going to hijack this thread. It's Jamies business and he'll do what he wants with it. but to me, it's would almost be a slap in the face if someone called me wanting something for nothing. It's basically like saying, "hey, I bought this PCV from someone else, not you. It's not working right and they can't figure out why, can you help me"?
There is a lot of speculation going on in this thread and I will try to help out. The fact they first installed a PC III for a 2008 bike is straight up incorrect. There is a different pinout between the 2008 and 2010 ECM, whether plugging in the incorrect unit has caused an issue is hard to say without seeying the bike first hand. The first thing I would do is make sure you for sure now have the correct PC-V which is part #15-011, the second check is that the ECM ground pin in the harness which may have got bent slighly out of spec. This is the large male pin on the main ECM plug, I recommend using a small needle nose pliers and carefully adjusting this pin by giving it a very slight twist to give it better engagement/contact when it is connected and this will provide a better ground from the pin tension at the connection. This is what I would take a look at first, if you need additional support just let me know

It is stuff like this why I bought my set-up from you, and will do so in the future. Good on you and Merry Christmas, Murph
