I have the so called quite baffle. It is anything but quite. Not over the top loud has a great sound and rumble to it. Call down to D&D and ask Lennard what you should go with he knows what works best for your build.

I have both quiet and standard. I have the standard on now and it's not too loud for me. Pretty mellow at cruise but will really bark when you crack the throttle.
All things being equal, a 2-1 pipe will generally perform better due to exhaust scavenging. Some 2-1's do this better than others.
I have used both the "quiet" baffle as well as the "wrapped" baffle. There is really not much difference between the two however you can tell a slight difference. The sound of this pipe is greatly effected by the mods you have made to your engine. I have a 103 with the stage 3 kit. It is loud and really pops due to the compression and the somewhat high lift cam. My buddie has a fairly stock engine and the sound is not anywhere as loud as my bike. The difference is very dramatic when letting off the gas or coasting down from high speed. My bike really crackles but my buddies bike is much more quiet. This is my second bike with D&D and would not consider anything else. The performance is second to none and I really like the big block chevy sound from the pipes. The chrome and construction is also very good. Unlike the Sampson pipes I had a couple years ago.
I started with the quiet baffle and found it to be very quiet. I pulled the baffle and stripped off the packing and now it sounds O.K. I would go with the standard baffle next time. It performs really well though.
I have the wrapped perforated ("quiet") baffle on the Limited, and the quiet baffle on the LowCat on the 'Train. Neither is what I call quiet. The Night Train is LOUD, but that's also a function of the compression and cams. The Limited is reasonable at idle, but barks pretty well under power. It can get tiring on trips.
That said, I've never seen another pipe that makes power like a Fatcat.
Performs great, will make your ears bleed out on the road after a long day if your not wearing some sort of ear protection.Wouldn't reccomend spending money on your stereo system imo waste of money with this exaust.

I have the quiet baffle and the rest is detailed below. Yes, it is pretty loud for "quiet", but I LOVE the sound. I have Hogtunes with the amp and can hear the mids, highs and vocals of songs at 70+ MPH. I'm pulling 92 TQ and 76 HP out of a 96" with only D&D and a K&N filter on a SE backplate, after tuning by Doc. I wouldn't trade it for anything else.
