Default Push Rod covers

What is the simplest way to get the small last chrome piece in? Ive been struggling I had to adjust my push rods now I cant get that one stupid chrome piece back in. Does anyone have a trick for this????? I've been pushing up with a screw driver wiggling it up i just cant get close enough

Easy with a flat screwdriver.....Put the screwdriver blade on the pushrod tube where you push down to compress the spring. Put the top of the clip up at the rocker box. Put the bottom of the clip on the screwdriver shank. Raise the screwdriver handle and push the clip as your raise. It will glide down the shank and pop into place.

As triple x stated above, very easy to use a flatblade and walk your finger down the screwdriver to snap the piece in. Where in NH are you? If you are close to Lebanon I could help you out if you get stuck.

the flatblade screwdriver works great. when in doubt, check your service manual, it goes through the procedure. leave the crowbar alone for this one.

You can also drop your front motor mount. That will give you a couple inches!
