If you're looking for a squeege type product, check out a snow ski shop for the rubber thing that fits on your thumb.
I use it skiing in snow/rain but haven't tried it riding in rain

Great tips, all. I appreciate the feedback! It looks like a good coat of wax on the outside, a Fogcity Proshield on the inside, and either gloves with a built-in squeegie or a thumb style one will do the trick.

The better quality shields have a finish that causes the water to bead and run off. The problem is real fine mist, fog, etc. that won't bead. Wax, rainx and the like may well ruin the plastic because of the solvents they use. I would look for a polish formulated for plastic shields. Usually available online or MC catalogs.

As to inside fogging, I don't find it a problem unless I'm not moving. Make sure all vents are open and crack the shield up when stopped. My helmet , Shoei, has a stop point that allows for you crack the shield about 1/2" and I usually leave it there unless it's really cold or raining hard.
There are some wipes available that is supposed to suppress the inside fogging, but I haven't tried them so can't recommend.

I've always used pledge, and the forefinger on my left hand to wipe off exces water. I have a pair of gloves that has a soft leather part on the forefiner, and as far as I can tell, that is what this is for. Don't remeber the brand of glove tho.

Honda Spray Cleaner & Polish. Cleans the shield, leaves no visible film and the water beads up and blows away. There's a warning on the label of Rain-X that it not suitable for plastic.
