Help/Question - throttle cable removal

Default Help/Question - throttle cable removal
I have run into a problem and hope someone has a simple answer. Trying to remove the throttle cable from the lower switch housing. Cable is loose from the grip but being held inplace by a small retaining ring in the lower switch housing. So how do you get the retaining ring off to let the cable come off??? Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm having the exact same issue right now with my ape install. Any help would be appreciated.

You don't remove that clip.
It good swift jerk, it comes free.

Did mine today just pull it straight down pops right out
