Default Throttle cable HELP!!!

I recently bought a set of chrome switch covers, but when I was puting the handle bars back together I cannot get the throttle cable back in the slot on the grip. If anyone knows another way to do this please HELP!!! Also I was thinking about taking the cable off of the throttle body, but I'm not sure if thats the right move or not.

Did you take out all the slack in the cables originally????

Sometimes, the excess cable will get caught in the TB Workings, make sure that it is completely free...

I have only needed to use a small rat nose pliers and a smaller slotted screw driver. Only thing I had to do was to make sure I had enough slack in the cable lines without letting them get away from me.

I used vise-grip needle nose to hold 1 cable,....someone else had recommended hemostats, that might work too,..don't panic though,..it happened to me too...just takes patience to get back in.
