I'm 6'4" and really like the Sundowner seat for longer rides. I have a bad back and I can stay in it for hours at a time. Using the highway pegs and changing positions every 30 min seems to be a good combination as well. I did buy a 2010 Street Glide seat from another member, it looks great, but I would say it is a 2 hour seat for me.

I like the looks of those Kuryakyn Cruise Boards. I currently have Kuryakyn 360 degree highway pegs and there are not bad. I also have access to a Sundowner seat and it does sit me back a little further. Right now it is 10 degrees so I can't put too many miles on the Sundowner to get it all figured out.

See if your dealer will let you try before you buy, or let you return for refund. That's a lot of money to buy something on faith.

So you've gotten some good advise here, and some not so good. I'm 6'5", 230lbs, and I've been reworking the same bike for years. I've found some things that got the job done and really work together. I am not longer trying to improve the ergonomics of my ride. Try one, several, or all.

1. Corbin Solo seat. Puts you back AND down. A seat that sits you higher never made sense to me. And no, it doesn't cause hip pain because:

2. The footboards are Bubba's Brake extended units, bolted to Indy Custom Bikes extended brackets (the man that first designed them). They are also moved out 3/4" by Soos kit. It also helps to raise the front of the boards.

3. The brake lever is an extended one by Bubba's Brake, the current shifter is extended by Walter's Workshop.

4. I use footpegs mounted as low as possible on the engine guard. I can have my heel on the board and still have my foot on the pegs, or stretch my legs almost straight out on the pegs.

Good luck, can't tell the players without a scorecard.

If you havn't bitten the bullet on any parts, consider accutronix 9 inch forward controls. Also consider C&C for a seat. I talked to Chuck and he was able to make one that sat me down one inch and back 2 inches. I have a 38" inseam and am very comfortable on my bike. Now my bike fits me as perfect as it's going to get. The downside of accutronix is that the engine gaurd has to go but I gladly made that tradeoff for comfort. The reason that I mentioned forwards is that some people don't know that they exist for tourers. They are relatively new.

Harry, can you post a close up of your forward controls, I can't see links yet? Same inseam size and I am looking for ideas.
