First ride in 2011
I got my first ride of 2011 in today and it is officially my coldest ride. I put on about 30 miles in on my RK and the temp was 25 degrees in NW Ohio. My Gerbing gloves worked good when the bike harness worked, there is a short in it and I need to get it replaced. I was pretty comfortable, but I will be happy when spring gets here.
I missed riding on New Years Day due to rain and family get togethers but at least the rain washed the salt and brine off the rode.

Yeah it wasn't that nice around here. It was 56 in the morning but it was also pouring down rain. I could have put on my new rain gear I got for Christmas, but I guess I'm not that dedicated

Today I went over to storage to check out a piece of furniture I have stored with the bike. Moved the bike out of the storage area then had to start it to get it back in. Hate to start and stop the bike like that so I decided to ride around the building. That idea turned into a brief but very enjoyable 3 mile ride. It was 48 degrees. Seemed alot warmer. If I had my jacket with me it would have been alot longer. Only second time I've ever ridden on New Year's day.
What a great way to start another Year!!
