What will i need to install these bars
Handle Bar Clamp PN. 55918-08 $35.95
Throttle/Idle Cable PN. 55752-07 $149.95
Brake Line Lower PN. 45818-07 $129.95
Brake line Upper PN. 42599-08 $64.95
Clutch Cable PN. 38925-09 $99.95
Bushing kit about $40.00
These are prices out of the Harley Davidson Catalog you can probably find better prices from somebody that does handle bar package deals.
Thanks for sharing pics when you will have mount the bar.
In October I paid close to $800.00 for my Corbin Classic Solo (With Heat) Passanger pillion and Driver Back Rest. But it is so much more comfortable than anything else I've planted my butt on it's not funny. Plus !!! It looks really good on the Bike.
But it sat me back and down a little bit. Even before changing the seat I was having problems with my right shoulder and the new seat makes me have to reach a little futher for the bars, so the seat didn't help my shoulder any. Sitting on the bike with my hands on the bars I can feel the backrest behind me but I don't have any pressure on it. At cruise I can relax my grip and let my hands slide back on the controls and sit comfortably, about three inches. but my arms are still streight.
So, I also need a set of handle bars. The rule is go 2 inches more than what you think you need. The Wild one 10" Apes would give me 7" more pull back than the Heritages I have on the bike now, actually probably 5" because I have heritage's rotated back about as far as you can. So the plus two rule in effect I'm buying the 502's 12 inch apes.
So for my list.
Wild one 502's ---------- $200.00 apx
Clutch Cable +6 ---------$100.00 apx
Brake Hose Set---------- $170.00 apx
Bushing kit ---------------$ 40.00 apx
Wire Extension Kit $ 54.00 apx
And then I probably want a new set of grips $80.00
So, I'm looking at a little less than you are, Mines Fly by Wire throttle and you have to buy throttle cables plus the handle bar clamp.
But, like you that's a big chunk of money but you don't have to buy it all at one time. (unless you get one of the package deals)
It's funny, I use to be into Remote Control airplanes and helicopters. And my Harley is cheap compaired to that hobby.
To fund my Harley Projects I made a rule with myself, I never buy anything with the income I make!!! What I do is sell stuff I no longer have need or use for on E-bay. When I build up enough money in my pay-pal account I buy what I want. It's amazing how much stuff you end up with laying around the house that you can turn into money with a little effort.
I have enough junk laying around to keep me busy on E-bay for a couple of years.

I have learned a lot on this site and as part of being a member I feel it is my responsibility to help other where I can.
I'm a retired Chief Engineer from the U.S. Coast Guard and as part of that job I had to research ship yard contracts, job specifications and even write several contracts myself. So I'm pretty good at putting things down in words.
Your welcome.
I just got up this forum, and read a lot of useful information ...
But I would like to ask for your help. I'm looking at various websites of bikes customization but I'm not finding what I need.
I bought a 14'ape hanger for my Road King Classic 2010. And now I need to buy the cables (Clutch, ABS brake, cruise control, etc). My intention is to buy all plug and play, to avoid cuts, welds and solders ....
At all websites of customization, just found the kits for bikes without ABS ... And my Road King has ABS, cruise control, electronic throttle and ...
Can you me indicate one (or ones) website where I can find these kits to buy?
Thank you in advance,
Cheers.
You bring up a couple of good points:
It's a smart move to change out your seat before making a substantial investment in new bars. If you think you may swap seats, do it first because it will always affect your riding position and interaction with the bars, relative to the current saddle.
The other point had to do with expensive hobbies, for you RC flying machines.
I've been an amateur astronomer for years. My last telescope had a base price of $12,500 before upgrades (sound familiar?). Eyepieces cost between $200 and $600 each. Lots of other necessary items. That 'scope required a trailer to haul it out to dark sites in, another big expense.
So, yes, it's all relative...
