Nothing about his build since the initial start-up on the 20th....kinda strange. I'm guessin' it blew up, he killed the builder and is in prison, wishin' he had waited for the '07....say hi to Billy Lane.
Last post I read was that he was waiting for his builder to break his engine in for him......heat cycling through 800 miles [:-] or something to that effect, to work the "bugs" out and deliver it ready to burn up the road.
I have a feeling we'll hear from him, one way or the other, in very short order....................
HEY GUYS! Here I am! It's touching to know that I am missed. I actually got a chuckle out of that. Well, the last word I got, which was last thursday, is that we are waiting on a Harley flash calibration to reduce base timing from 50 degrees, to 34 degrees. Someone previously mentioned that the 510 cams tend to produce alot of detonation ( spark knock ) when used at compression ratios higher than 10 to 1 or so. My builder confirmed that the rumor was in fact just that....fact. Not sure if they have gotten their hands on the cal yet, but thats all we are waiting on at this point. One of the "Hands" at the indy shop has a much more expensive build than mine, 95", and says that he thinks that my bike may be stronger than his. He has been the one doing the heat cycles and short test rides on my bike, and honestly, he would really hate to admit that if it were not pretty obvious. His bike made 98hp, and 105tq. It has been 3 weeks now, more or less, and yes...I am getting a bit anxious. Hearing it run was like teasing a kid with a taste of candy. But just to be straight.....once the flash cal comes in, all I have to do is rob a bank, and pay the man...
