Rode 1300 miles to sturgis last summer. Arrived with a sore bung hole. Bought the Air Hawk from JnP cycles for a little over $100.00 in sturgis. Best dam money I spent over Two weeks and 4000 miles. I recommend it. I just layed it on seat and sat on it . Stayed fine. When you get off the bike the wind will blow it off. It does have straps to attach it to the seat, but I found that not to be necessary...

Personally I wouldn't put anything on my bike called a "Butt Buffer"

The AirHawks are great, no ands, ifs or BUTTS about 'em. I have them strapped on the seat all the time except for over night motel stops. I guess I'm the trusting type but I have had them for over three years without having anybody put the five finger discount on them. Like others have said, keep them almost flat - just enough to keep your butt clear of the seat - for max comfort. If you can feel the individual cells when you're sitting on it, then there's way too much air in it.

If you use the straps for the passenger Hawk, we found that the back strap tended to slip out from under the seat. We now crisscross the straps (right front to left rear, left front to right rear) to keep them in place. It's probably all in my head, but I feel the pads are more stable when they're strapped in place.

I got the medium for the front without the extension that goes up the nose of the seat instead of the large. It's like the difference between an expensive hotel and a cheap hotel. (More ball room)

"carpetride" has one here depending on model, style, & size.

Here's the size for my streetglide stock seat and where I purchased mine from. Can't beat the price. Fast shipping too!

I too am going to send my stock seat eventually to MCC to be reworked. Had a seat done in the past and it helped somewhat.

I own two of the air hawks, we only use them when we are on long trips. I don't use the straps, just lay them on the seat. If we stop for something to eat and I cannot see the bike , I lock them inside the bike. But for a $150 cheaper than a new after market seat.

That's exactly what I do and I picked mine up off Ebay for $75.

Love reading all of the positive comments on the Airhawk. Remember -- they work best with only about 1/4" or even 1/8" of air between your butt and the seat! If you have to readjust your mirrors after slapping on the Airhawk, that means that you have too much air in it.

Ride On,
