The 103 is great. I have done to the Stage 1 air cleaner, to help it breath; V & H Dresser Duals, to get rid of the cat; SE slip ons and the SERT. It runs and sounds great. The seat is good for me. However, I did add a back rest.
Get it and ride it like you stole it!
Love the bike but if I did it over I would have bought a low mile used 2009.
With the $8-$9K savings I would have bought something like the FM 107" kit and been good for a very long time.
Otherwise, no problems with my FLHTK. Unless the dealer is going to give you a good price for the parts and install for free just replace the headpipe, add mufflers if you want, tune it and move on. And yes, the stock headpipe makes it very hot for the passenger. After a long ride my garage would be hot for an hour or more after shutting it down. I've got the Fullsac X pipe and after a ride now I can pretty much touch it after about 20 minutes.
If I do the exhaust again it will be with the Drago's Bike Works 2-1.
I love my Limited, put 6000 miles on it since June. The only things I didn't like were the stock pipes (too quite) and the windshield (too tall). I also had the compensator replaced with the SE Comp at 5000 mile service. They replaced it under warrany, I just paid the extra $100 for the SE upgrade. It eliminated the knock on start up, and is a much smoother all around ride with less vibration.
