Just installed the tweeter pod last weekend and happy with the easy install and the sound enhancement.
I also added the lower fairing speakers and the new 160 watt fan cooled amp to the previously installed 4 HT speakers and the 80 watt amp. BIG improvement overall and a "surround sound" effect.
I've had mine now for two years with no problems. The cloth grills do change color and fade slightly over time, but can be easily replaced, and the Pod kit also comes with a pair of black metal grills. As for performance, they put the usable high and midrange tones in a position more in-line with your ears. I would recommend them as well as the Hogtunes speakers and amp.
These grills were just replaced when I painted the inner-fairing and Pods, days before the photo was taken, and have shifted to a slight magenta cast in the 14 months since. Because my paint is Black Cherry the grills now look like they were custom-tinted for the bike.
