I have been thinking about adding the Kuryakyn Adjustable Passenger Pegs on our '10 Ultra(Kuryakyn #4353). I was wondering if anyone knew if you could use Harley pegs with them? I have the full Chrome and Rubber set, floor board inserts, cruise pegs, brake, shifter peg, and would like to use a small Harley Chrome and Rubber Peg on the Kuryakyn mounts. Will it work? I haven't seen them except in the catalogs, and they don't give much info.
the 3 position kuryain #4353 did not do much for my wife...she is about 5' 2". i put them on because i was tired of passenger floorboards hitting me in back of legs. ended up taking rear floorboards off and using the kuryakin adjustable lockable offsets # 4557 or 4556. these rotate 360 degrees and you can certainly find a riding position that is comfortable for any passenger.
after re-reading your post, i see that you have already spent money on chrome floorboards and are not interested in losing them. the 3 position adjustable pegs did not work very well for the wife and me...i bought them used from a guy who did not like them...sold them to another guy who did not like them either.
Harley is rebranding these now but they are including a little adapter so you can use Harley pegs. The Kuryakyn branded adjustable passenger pegs won't work with Harley pegs without some sort of adapter. Maybe you could order that adapter out of the Harley kit.
First i have heard of this adapter gonna go looking. I know the HD pegs wont go on. Thought about having a machine shop make me something but if there is an adapter that would be nice and easy.
There is an adapter included with the Harley branded passenger peg kit. You may or may not be able to order it separately from the dealer. Let us know what you come up with. I'm in the same boat as the OP.
This is the Harley branded kit. I'm not sure if this accurately represents the hardware that is included. The Kuryakyn pegs have a beveled end and attach with a single bolt. The Harley pegs will need some sort of pivoting joint to attach if I am remembering correctly.
