Just got the full set and I am thrilled. Jacket liner, XE pants, insoles, G3 gloves, and a dual controller. I think I'm warmer on my bike than in my house . But... I noticed my mpg took a hit by at least 2 mpg? Is this normal? Yesterday I got 40 mpg cruising on the freeway all day with the cruise control set at 65mph . Used to get better. Any insight would be appreciated. 2009 Ultra Classic with V and H slip ons. Thanks in advance

Your gear has nothing to do with mileage. MPGs drop in cold weather.
Sure it does, the more you ride the more fuel you consume
Actually, your mileage most likely has more to do with the weather conditions than running heated gear. The gear will pull more amps from your electrical system, but I doubt it would drop it 2 MPG.
they run on electricity...does having your radio blaring or high beam light on change your gas mileage? it is probably caused by the winter formula in the gasoline. most people are complaining of a 2/3 mpg drop in the winter caused by fuel formula changes.
Beat me to it Beemer! Their is no way that any electrical item will ever reduce millage. Unless of course it's large enough an item that it increases drag on the scooter. I just checked mine and got my worst millage ever recently at 32 mpg. I have seen over 50mpg cruising the backroads at or below posted limits. A lot has to do with what your doing with your right wrist. I too have problems in that area on occasion. Lol
Colder air is more dense than warm air and requires more work to push through. (Colder air also has more punch, which is why I enjoy sailing in winter more than in summer).
On the other hand, not wearing 200 layers of clothing because you have Gerbing's gear, means you will be more aerodynamic blasting down the highway.
And then there is that winter-fuel mix......
