Accessories in Cigarette Lighter?

The reason for that is because it will bend the prongs inside that hold the lighter in place. My GPS works fine in it but I have the bend the thing back when I put the cig lighter back in or it will fall out. I mounted a power point in my tour pack to charge my phone when needed. Now I don't worry about losing the cig lighter anymore.

old thread, I know...I wired up one of these to put in the saddlebag, used a plug that works with the battery tender wire. had trouble with the cigarette lighter plug in breaking contact from vibration when riding.

My GPS plug would hit the tank so I pulled off the outer fairing, went to Autozone and picked up a replacement cig lighter receptacle and wired it up to the back of the original so I could plug my phone in. I ran the phone plug to come out the top of the fairing between my 3 pouch bags, filed a slot with a round file for the wire and kept the plug in in the right bag. So I could charge my phone while riding.
