I have been looking for a tray to empty my pockets into before I go riding. I have found the Top Shelf from Hardbagger.com Has anyone seen this or something similar? If so, does it work well?
Thanks
Never seen that before but after looking at the web site it looks like a neat idea. Looks like it would work nicely and imo reasonably priced... sorry not an answer to your question...
I started thinking about something like this due to the fact I keep losing my crap in the trunk. I use my bike for daily commuting and I carry a crap ton of stuff. I put the wallet, keys, etc in my ball cap on top, by the time I get to where I want to be, it has all dumped and at the bottom of the pile. I may have to buy one and test it out.
Wished I could make it to Colorado Springs when it is nice out, got to be some great riding!!
Fat baggers makes one too. I dont know the price difference (if any) but its another option. I need to order one but just have not gotten around to it. If you end up getting one let us know how you like it.
I have a buddy here in Arizona that sells this shelf your talking about... He bought an old fiberglass bottom I had lying around from me so he could have a display to show it off. It looks to be a great addition to the hard bag to keep your stuff from finding the bottom. I have not bought one yet, I just have too many other things that are priority right now, but it is on my list of goodies for sure!

I have the top shelf and love it. The owner of the company gave me a free foam insert when I talked to him about how much I loved his product at Sturgis last year.
I too was looking for a place to put all my small belongings (keys, wallet, sunglasses, etc.) and Im not a fan of the windshield pouches. So, i bought one of these "Top Shelf" trays and they work great. Kinda spendy for what they are (abs plastic) but never the less its very handy for helping to keep the bag organized. They fit good inside the bag and are easy to remove if needed. They just snap in and the bags dzus fastner holds it in place, takes about 10 seconds. Good luck.
I have my Zumo 450 mounted to the fairing, not a lot of room for a pouch. Plus, I am currently in Italy, non-permanent items have a tendency to walk off around here.
