If anyone still needs help with the H/D fuel line leaking issues I am still available to help !
email me at (n8dc-8@comcast.net) I havent been around much but I am excited to tell everyone that the week after new years I got a call from a small (6 employees) company 27 miles away and after exhausting my 99 weeks of unemployment the monday after Xmas I have a job again I am primarily running a lathe and sometimes a bridge port mill. Of course after hiring in at 15.00 an hour with 16 to come after 6 months and 40 hour work weeks ive been working overtime ever since .. Its slowed down a little but I figure thats because I am helping them catch up on the work they need done. I was on a 1 week trial period to they could look at my skills and got hired on wednesday morning ? I never made the full week Ha Ha.. I also negotiated 2 weeks off the end of july to trailer out to Yellowstone and ride there and in the black hills.. Anyway I will try and stop back here more often. To anyone else thats been out of work for 2 years like me. Hang in there there are jobs out there..

Glad to see ya back at it bro. I too am a machinist, and lucky to be employed in this economy. Taking a pay cut is hard, but better than the alternative. MI is a tough place to be in the manufacturing field. When I started with My company there were 14 machinists, now there are 2.
Have fun out west, the Black Hills are awesome. We stayed in Hill City. A 3 bedroom cabin for 80.00 an a night. What a blast.
congrats on the new job,I am curious as to the fuel line issue you were having.thanks
I wasnt having an issue but others here were and I used to work for the company that made the new style quick disconnect for the fuel tank. I have documentation on how to fix a leaking disconnect and the o-rings to use to do it ..
Dave

I have dual fuel lines on my 2000 rk.
Glad to hear you are back to work.
Straightleg
I can send you the info if you give me an email addy but ... There were a few models that had our dual disconnects but if its old enuff it will have the old style fittings that we were not involved with and there fore I have no knowledge on them.

The wife told me get a job at 15 an hour and 40 hours and we will be fine !. I wasnt really even looking when the owner called me and he is a biker too even though he rides a honda .. We hit it off and he told me heres the deal I want you here for a week and then i will make a decision. Guess i impressed him .. The only bad part is ive been after the wife to give me the overtime cash for ham radio equipment and chrome for the scoot .. It aint working Ha ha..
