i was about to drop big bucks on a Dragonfly. but, a buddy came a cross a used Hoppe Sport-zilla fairing. sooooo glad i did that. it is 4 inches shorter, and 5 inches narrower than a HD batwing. made of ABS instead of fiberglass. comes apart easy, on or off of the bike. all around, pretty much the same a s many after market fairings, i just didnt really want a big azz fairing, so it worked out great for me. i am 6 ft 1 inch, with long arms. i have since changed to a Klock Werks 6 1/2 inch windshield. the only pain with this fairing, is the bolt pattern on the windshield. 6 holes, instead of 3. had to line the new one up with the old one, and melt a few holes to use a windshield with a Harley bolt pattern.
Bluduck you have one heck of a RK , done the RIGHT WAY. The tour pak in the back is what one of these threads was worrying about? If you do this to your RK you will not have to think about the ULTRA any more .
I didn't go with any of the big three, I found one on E-bay that a guy builds himself. After numerious e-mail back and four I purchased one from him and I have been very pleased with it.
I was looking for one that used 6x9's and this is the only one that resolved another desire for someplace to put a tachometer. The speakers are back mounted for a very clean look. It's been in use for 17 months with out any problems at all.

dude! that is slick! does he build them regularly? or was this a one time thing? if he does build them for people, any contact info for him?
I put the dragonfly on my 04 road king classic. Love it. The 6x9 speakers are awsome and the look is fantastic. Got one picture attached here. Also look in "My Garage" for better pictures. It is also on the dragonfly website.

Don't overlook Woody's who can be found here on the forums. I have yet to read anything negative about him, his workmanship, or his service. He is a small business and from what I understand, when you call him, you speak directly with him and he stands behind his product. If I'm not mistaken, he is not mass producing his fairings and builds them by hand.
As I previously stated, I have a Dead Center fairing and have no affiliation or even know Woody. I'm just passing on info that I've learned from reading here for the past few years.
