Finally got to the house where I have some old pics of my bike right after I put my apes on. I have to say it did take some time to get used to low speed turns, but now I am used to it and I have to say the bike feels more stable. I actually takes me a min to adapt to a bike with low slung bars now when I get on one.
I LOVE miine. Just keep the height below the shoulders. That way your hands and arms dont go to sleep on long rides and in my opinion, it gives you maximum control.
Thanks bro,i have no rubbing issues at all except an occasional scrape on the front tire because i put the chrome guard rail on the front and due to some of these raggedy azz streets here in vegas![:@] It's been lowered 1.5" front and back also! The fairing is made by hoppe industries its called the quadzilla.
The bars are called sleazy apes from ol school choppers in las vegas.Shoot me a pm if you have any questions bro

GMoney,
Great bike. You have lots of upgrades that I have not made it to yet. I am still working on figuring out my back end. If you don't mind me asking what Faring are you using, what bars are those, and what wheels are you running (did you have a rubbing issues)?
Don't mean to barade you with questions, but I have an image in my head that I am going for and you are damned close in the front end department. Nice bike.

Yes, you will have to change your cables. I have 12 1/2" Physco Chubbys Apes and I used +6" Throttle & Idle cables +6" front Brake line and +8" Clutch cable. I first had a +6" Clutch and it was pretty tight when making right turns, it ended up streching out and fraying after about a year of riding. So I ened going with the +8" and that did the trick. You will enjoy them. Good luck.
okay just orderd them and they will be in thursday, when i talked to the dealer he asked if i was going to do this my self and when i told him yeah he laughed and told me good luck, WTF?? he said that the running the wires through the bars was a pain, and extending my wires was bad to.. Anyone have any experience with this, or could give me some tech tips.??
Dude, F the dealer. He just wants your cash, 'cause he thinks you will be like all the other sheep and cave in and let him charge you for it. Buy the Bars and the extended wires and cables that were posted on this thread. Grab a manual and give it a quick scan and get the job done. Snake the wires thru the bars with a thin flexible wire and don't sweat it.
