First if you don't have one already pick your self up a service manual. If you know how to solder it's a piece of cake. If not you may not want to tackle this without some hands on help.
I'd Pick up some electrical wire at any Auto parts store or you can buy a color coded Handlebar wiring harness extension kit, through most motorcycle shops or after market catalogs, but they are alittle pricy. I just used a spool of electrical wire and labed each wire for the correct color then ran the wire's through the bars, then solder them to the exsiting wires and switches after removing them off of the mototrcycle. If you follow the instructions in the service manual you shouldn't have any problems removing and installing your new Handlebars back on your Motorcycle. Good luck.
