I just put the bag extensions on my 10 sg and since i have the 2 into 1 exhaust it looks dumb with the left side blank. so i found on ebay a tail light from a 32 ford (reproduction tail light that is chrome and says stop)
i tapped mine in at the brake light housing with the brake and running lights. then ran the wires down along the inside of the fender. not the same install, but the concept is the same.

alright thnx man i think im gonna try the same but run the wires down the inside of the saddlebags
not sure it is the same on yours but on mine there was a four prong plug in the tail light. in the first slot was a blue wire=running light. 2nd=empty. 3rd=red wire brake light. 4th=black wire ground. if the light you bought has 3 wires connect them accordingly. if only 2, i think only the red and black.
you can always splice the wires, and try them on different connections. if everything goes dead then you blew a fuse. its a 15 under your left side cover.
I am not an electrician, so this is the best i could do to describe how i did mine. hope it works out for ya.
