Default Exhaust question

I have been doing alot of reading on my different exhaust choices and just want to double check.

Later I plan to add air cleaner (Ventilater), fuel management (PCV), and the V&H power duals.

Right now I just paln to buy some slip-ons and just want to confirm that they will swap over when I buy the rest of the set-up.

Also the slip-ons are the only part I havent decided on so looking for suggestions on a good for the above set-up

on another thread today, i pointed that my Pal's ultra limited drags the X portion of the power duals on right hand turns. his bike is lowered 1"

Just something to consider

It sounds like you have a good set-up planned-out for your bike. Yes, most slip-ons should swap over to the Power Duals Headers. Of course, I recommend the 4" Rineharts... you won't be disappointed. However, any slip ons from V&H or Jackpot are always good picks too.

As far as dragging the Power Duals comment by "mkguitar"... I would say that is a rare possibility. I think his Buddy's bike being lowered might play a key role in that. Not to mention the possible loaded weight of that 2011 Limited on top of that lowered suspension. Anyway... here is the link to the thread he is refereing to if your interested. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...ser-duals.html

Ok that's what I thought but wanted to check.

I really liked the deep sound of my D@D fatcat 2-1 on my last bike. I would like to find a similar sound.

Something decently loud and deep when you get on it but tames down pretty good at cruising speeds.

Like your plan, exactly what I did with my 08 (plus 2 sets of silp-ons more because I couldn't help experimenting) and in process of doing on the wife's scoot.

My mufflers:
1) Rush slip-ons. Great deep tone, had a nice bark when on throttle especially after adding true duals. Moved to # 2 more out of changing look then anything.
2) V&H Ovals. Aggressive sound on the TD's, loved at first but highway decibels were getting on nerves a bit. Have a set on the wife's now and love the sound on stock headers.
3) V&H Monster Ovals. Seemed a bit "tame" at first even with the TD's but really they have a nice deep tone and bark well on accel. When I add the SE255 cam next month they will be a bit louder I know......believe these will be my keepers.

That's my history/ Good Luck!

The 4" Rinehart mufflers are hard to beat for deep tone "Harley Sound". And although they are just right for me in the loudness dept... they won't be as loud as that 2 into 1 D&D Fatcat your refereing to. However, they do bark pretty good at WOT, and tone down for cruising and listening to the Metallica!

Sounds about what I am looking for and I like the looks as well. I had a quiet core in my D@D so it wasnt as loud as some.

Were is the best place to by the Rineharts?
