Had a Cee balies light tint 10" on the old 89 with a custom lepera seat- it was friggin perfect. before that had a clear national cycle windshield that I cut down to 10" and that worked great, but the cee bailes looked better and was better quality.
Just got this 11 SG and went with a 10 dark tint fastaire - knew the minute I put it on the bike that the shape of it and the tint definitly will not make me happy. It's going in the pile of unused crap under the workbench immediatly.
Going with a Cee bailees 9" light tint shield as soon as I can order it on Monday. just really like the quality of it. the fast aire is not even in the same league, the national cycle windshield is close, but the fit , finish and quality of the cee bailees just works for me.
I enjoed my 6.5" Klockwerks when I had it. I tried a 8.5 Klockerks but I felt it was too high for me. I now run the H-D WindSplitter now... it took a lil bit to warm up to it but I like it now.
Personally, I want to see over the windshield... way over. Maybe it is from my sportbike days but I don't like looking through a windshield, nor do I want it just below my field of vision. I think the Windsplitter was just the right compromise.
I have a 6.5" KW on my 09 SG and really like the looks and ride. I'm 5'10" and I don't ride sitting totally "straight up". I might try the 2011 SG seat soon....slightly inseam challenged.
I have one of their10' 1/2 moons. Really like it and very nice folks to boot with great customer service. I had an issue with one windshield and they replaced it for me with no charge.

Was your Fast Aire shield the Aero model? How tall are you and what didn't you like about it?
I'm running the 4" stock shield. I tried a LRS 8" smoked and I thought it was too high. On my Heritage I never used my windshield, so I guess I'm used to the wind.
