Default Street Glide Windshields

I am sure this has been asked a hundred times but what shield are you running on your sg? How tall is it? I am buying a new one and want one that is good for the long haul. So, any suggestions or advice that will help me with this decision would be appreciated. I have a 2010 sg.

I run "Fastair" windscreens on my 2010 SG. The 10" will pretty much eliminate 90% of the buffeting, so it's very comfortable for the long haul even with a half helmet/no helmet. I also have a Fastair 8" also. It eliminates about 75% of the buffeting, so I can be comfortable with that on day-long rides too... half helmet and sunglasses stay put. I rode a HD Wind Splitter on a CVO SG for a day last summer. For a 7" windscreen, it did as good if not better than the Fastair 8". Might try one of those on my bike this summer.

I'm not a fan of the 10" on my bike, but it is the most comfortable (of course). The 8" doesn't look too bad, and the 7" Wind Splitter looks good... shorter than 7".

I'm 6'1" and ride the stock 2010 SG seat.

Default I am running the KW shield

6.5 KW and I am pretty happy with it. if you are interested in the KW, find somewhere that has them and see if you can demo the 8.5 and the 6.5. I am 6 feet.

I'm happy with my 7" LRS XStream. Cheaper than the KW, and I like the look. Some don't like the look of either of these. Personal preference. The performance is better than the stock shield, but I think I will probably order a taller XStream or try a LRS Ultra for long trips. I could still stand to be out of the wind just a little more.

LRS Ultra 9" does a good job for me. I'm 5'10" and see over the top but not by much.

Just put a 8 inch LRS Xtreme on mine and I like it. Works much better than stock and I like the look.

I'm runnning Ceebaileys. I think it is 11". Their website has pretty good instructions on how to measure for the right hight to see over and have good wind protection.

At 5' 10" I'm happy with my 6.5" Klock Werks. I only wish I could have windshield bags with the 6.5. You can with the 8, but I can't see over it well enough.
