I pulled my heel shifter and moved the toe shifter to the outside position. Where it needs to be once you feel it. I took a rubber grommet and placed it over the large part of the shift shaft(near the case) and then put a section of aluminum tube between that and the shifter. Works great.
You just have to make sure to take up that shaft space The shaft has two diameters. Inside is thicker for about 1/8th.

I may be missing something here..... but ..... wouldn't it be easier to take the toe shifter off, and just rotate the heal shifter into the toe position? That would eliminate the thickness issue.... Or is the shaft not grooved all the way around? It is on mine.
