Default Just Finished Cam Install

Just got the Woods Tw6-6 cams and Woods lifters installed in the bike and took it for a spin. Real nice!!! Bike pulls much better, didn't get too long of a ride because it is only around 46 degrees with 40 mph winds.

Already knew I would like them because me and my buddy put them in his 2010 SG a few months back. Everyone was right, hardest part was the exhaust R&R, what a PIA getting the cross over gasket back in!

Also just finished the 20K service to go with the cam swap.

Reason for the post is to thank a few people that helped (no particular order):

Atrain - Great cam swap writeup w/pics to compliment that service manual

Fuel Moto - Great customer service and products, use the PCV, AT and got the Woods lifters from them. I had a few questions and always pleasant to talk too and got me my new map to me.

Iclick - Fork Oil change write up, saved me a ton of time versus doing it the way the manual says.

Garcou (Shane) - Thanks for the deal on the cams

Dawg - Helped me find a dealer that had the inner cam tensioner in stock along with the part # I needed.

Thanks guys!!!

Outstanding. It's a great feeling to fire up the bike after a project.

Atrain68 Cam write up is in 4 parts, if you want send me a PM with your email address and I can send you a PDF of the whole thing that I put together from Atrain's postings. Hopefully he didn't copyright it

Yes, but the moment just before firing it up is also the tensest feeling you'll likely experience! It's like tension with instant relief when it cranks up with no odd noises or parts flying apart.

Yep, Luc.who helped me with the swap. We had done his bike a couple months ago and I was still pretty nervous firing it up, I think we went over everything about 5-6 times before deciding "well, now or never"

Fired up and everything sounded great. Now I need some time on it for the AT to do its thing.
